Foundations

Having a solid, well-built foundation is essential in building anything that is to last.

Biblical Hermeneutics and Exegesis

A disciple who cannot rightly interpret Scripture will be tossed about by every wind of doctrine - and the modern Church has more wind than it needs.

This module trains the student in the theory and practice of biblical interpretation: how to read the text correctly, understand it in context, and apply it faithfully without eisegesis or distortion.

Topics covered

  • History of hermeneutics, exegesis, and eisegesis
  • Use of the Old Testament by Old Testament writers and preachers
