Strong, Bold, Beautiful, Godly, Warriors, and Daughters of the King – these are the adjectives that immediately spring to mind when I think of the women of Life House Church!

These are more than mere adjectives, mere descriptions, they are character traits that have been woven into the Life House girls by God Himself, sometimes through fire and trials, over the past few years.

We, at Life House, believe we have an aroma, a fragrance to offer to those around us (a fragrance brought out through heat and pressure); we seek to be women who will change our environment rather than allowing the environment to change us!

What is it that allows us to change our environment instead of it changing us?

I believe the key to this lies in knowing your identity and having it correctly placed.

Psalm 45:10-11 “Listen, O daughter, consider and give ear; Forget your people and your father’s house. The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor Him, for he is your Lord.”

We are able to be bold warriors (even when we’re terrified!) because we know whose we are, our identities are in Jesus Christ, and it is from Him that we seek our affirmation, our sense of worth.

We know that God desires a personal, intimate relationship with us. We’ve all been on the ‘Captivating’ journey of allowing God to awaken and romance our hearts and we’d love to take many more women on this journey.

We stand firmly on the Word of God which has the power to totally transform an awakened heart!

We delight in seeing women rise up into their true stature and calling.

A few years ago God gave me these words, which I shared with our girls in the form of a personalised letter at a Mother’s Day tea, this was the personal word that God wanted each woman to believe and put deep into her spirit:

“I see deep inside you, all those hidden places no one else sees, I see and I love you, I chose you, I will not reject you. You do not need to hide from me, you can be yourself. I made you, I want you to succeed.

I have a plan that is just for you, not something I’ll try to fit you into but tailor made with you in my mind and heart, made for who I know you to be, who I designed you to be.”

The reason I’ve shared this is that these are words that I would love to see women grab hold of and believe are absolute truth for their own lives, because they are!

I love this quote from Nelson Mandela:

“We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.”
